Subject: Your "marketing email" breaks the new ASA codes.
It appears either you, or the spamming company you have sublet this to has lied to you.
MSWEETLOVE@BANN.CO.UK is NOT a valid email at this domain. It never has been. All emails to bann.co.uk end up with me.
I would like to know where you got this email address from. I'd also like to know why you do not confirm the email addresses you enter into your database before signing them up to your marketing bumpf.
Finally, let me remind you that the ASA now states that all marketing emails are opt-in. You must have explicit permission to mail an address (see http://www.asa.org.uk/the_codes/index1.asp?edition=11 sections 22.1 and 43.3 which came into force on the 4th March) As the email address you spammed does not exist at this domain, you cannot have this permission. As the email address does not exist you do not have an existing customer relationship with me. Finally the new code states that all advertising emails are clearly identified as such. Your subject line does not make it clear that this is an advertisement.
Please note that I reserve the right to publish on the web, or on usenet any response you give.
